Founded in 2005, Investment Links, LLC, continues to strategically expand its presence in the highly competitive arena of real estate development, property management and property ownership. From its humble beginnings with the construction and sale of a single family home, the company’s portfolio has grown to include a mix of multiple commercial buildings and residential property developments in greater Columbus, Ohio, including a 13 unit condominium development currently on the market.

“Real Estate Done Right” is more than a slogan for Investment Links, LLC, co-owners Michael Jarouche and Ziad Shaheen. To them, doing things the right way starts with client relationships that are built on trust and strengthened through (honesty/transparency). Beyond serving as a guiding principle for how they conduct business, these terms also define the decades-old friendship between the two business partners.
Once college roommates pursuing engineering degrees at the University of Toledo in Ohio, Mike and “Z” parted ways after graduating to work for their respective employers. Mike took a job with Chrysler in Michigan and Ziad remained in Ohio to work for Nisource. It was a foregone conclusion that the two would remain in touch as their connection extends much further back than the days as undergrads on UT’s campus.
With Mike and Ziad each having more than 20 years of corporate executive leadership experience, the pair began discussing the idea of joining forces and launching a real estate investment company. They soon completed their first project with the construction and sale of a single family home in Monclova, Ohio.
Eventually, the team’s sights turned to commercial property ownership. Given the many professional relationships built throughout their respective careers, Mike and Ziad quickly established themselves as well-educated, reputable leaders dedicated to meeting the diverse real estate needs of their tenants and investors.
The pair solidified their professional partnership by officially launching Investment Links, LLC, in 2005 as 50/50 owners of the company. Mike continues to reside in Michigan and focuses on corporate strategy and expansion. With the majority of their properties located in the central Ohio area, Ziad resides and facilitates the daily management of their property management, commercial and residential holdings.
Investment Links, LLC, is focused on three key growth objectives over the next five years: ​
OUR VISION
Begin two to three commercial and/or residential
development projects.
Acquire additional commercial and residential properties.
Expand property holdings footprint beyond Ohio to include Michigan, Florida and other strategic states.
​We are primarily interested in development and/or acquisition opportunities for multi-family, medical, office buildings, and multi-tenant properties. We are also interested in two (2) to five (5) acre sites that can be acquired and zoned for commercial or multi-family use.

Saving Tenants Money
We leverage our network of service providers to reduce costs whenever we can and pass along those savings to our tenants. We could easily keep those savings in the company, but that’s not who we are. We believe in transparency and are proud to tell our tenants when we’ve worked on their behalf to manage pass-through expenses for things like HVAC work, interior design and decorating, snow removal, and general curb appeal. Why? Because if a tenant knows that we’re honest with them, have their best interests in mind and are finding ways to help them stretch their money, then they’re more likely to continue using Investment Links for their property needs.
We look at every opportunity to further reduce cost to our tenants
It’s an industry standard that property taxes, whether assessed on a commercial building or multi-resident site, are passed along to tenants. However, if we believe the most recent property valuation is overstated, we’re not afraid to challenge it. We’ll hire a property tax attorney if we believe the assessment of a building is too high.
Our company covers this expense, as well as any other fees associated with the challenge, but we refuse to pass this cost of doing business to our tenants unless we’re successful in getting the valuation reduced.
Taxes are the proverbial “necessary evil,” but from our company’s perspective, we don’t want them to increase so much that our properties become unaffordable. There’s a long-term value proposition for us to challenge valuations when necessary and pass along any savings to our tenants.
